SADC Ministers of Employment and Labour and Social Partners Meeting on 30th April 2021

The main objectives of the meeting among others is to review implementation of COVID-19 measures by Member States so as to stabilise the economy and labour markets; and ensure safe and healthy working conditions, as well as strengthening global and regional solidarity; consider the draft SADC Employment and Labour Policy Framework (2020-2030); and deliberate on and give guidance on the the roadmap on the development of the new Protocol on Employment and Labour. 

The meeting of Senior Officials will precede the Ministerial meeting on 28-29 April 2021 to prepare documents on issues to be deliberated on by the Ministers. 

Honourable Ms Margarida Adamugy Talapa, Minister of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Mozambique will on 30th April 2021 preside over the meeting in her capacity as the Chairperson of the meeting of SADC Ministers of Employment and Labour and Social Partners, and will be supported by the ActingExecutive Secretary of SADC, Dr Thembinkosi Mhlongo.
