Lomahasha Namaacha Cross Border Water Supply Project
Eswatini Water Services Corporation (EWSC) the employer acting on behalf of DNAAS requires suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to prequalify for the following:
RFP 048/2021: International Competitive Bid for the prequalification of Applicants for the Procurement of:
Construction of Lomahasha Namaacha Cross Border Water Supply Project (Lots 1 and 2) in Eswatini and Mozambique being financed by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Regional Fund for Water Infrastructure and Basic Sanitation (RFWSBS) managed by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) with support from KfW Development Bank.
Scope of Requested Construction Services
The project entails the construction of bulk water transmission main from Simunye Water Treatment Plant in Eswatini to Namaacha town in Mozambique comprising among others DN400, DN350 and DN300 ductile iron pipelines, the construction of booster pumping stations, the construction of reinforced concrete reservoirs and the construction and extension of reticulation networks, and other scope to be provided in the detailed tender stage to prequalified tenderers.
It is foreseen to assign the services to an independent construction firm with proven experience in water and sanitation infrastructure development. The minimum annual turnover shall be Euro 12 million.

Applicants are required to submit their “Intention to submit Application” by 15h00 on 17 May 2021 to the stipulated email address SADCWaterFund@dbsa.org, by nominating one dedicated contact person (name, email address and phone number).
Only Applicants who submit their “Intention to submit Application” before the stipulated time and date, will receive “Access to Upload Application”.
Submission deadline is 24 May 2021, 23:55 hours, South African Time, GMT+2. No late submissions will be considered.
