Regional Minimum Standards for Harmonised Approaches to the Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV in the SADC Region

Provides a harmonised framework for addressing key PMTCT issues as follows: prevention of HIV in women and couples, preventing unintended pregnancies, preventing transmission of HIV from infected women to their infants, and the provision of care and support for HIV–infected women, their infants and families, as well as the integration of PMTCT into maternal and child health services and sexual and reproductive health services.
