Zambian Ambassador to Botswana present letters of credence to SADC

The Ambassador for the Republic of Zambia to Botswana, His Excellency BrigadierGeneral Patrick Romedyo Tembo (Rtd) paid a courtesy call on the Executive Secretary of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Her Excellency, Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax to present his letters of credence, on the 4th December 2017 in Gaborone, Botswana. His Excellency Romedyo has been the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Zambia to SADC since August 2015.

His Excellency Romedyo thanked Dr. Tax for making time to receive him and accepting his credentials. He thanked his Government for having confidence in him and according him the responsibilities of envoy to the Republic of Botswana and to the SADC region. He reassured Dr. Tax of his commitment to supporting the Secretariat in its endeavour in the implementation of SADC programmes and activities geared towards the attainment of the overall goal of poverty eradication and regional integration.

In welcoming the Ambassador, Dr. Tax said that she was happy to receive the Ambassador’s credentials and was looking forward to working with the envoy in advancing the mandate of the regional body.
