Senior Officials met today in the Kingdom of Swaziland to prepare issues and documents for the meeting of Council of Ministers scheduled for 26-27, August 2016 ahead of the 36th Ordinary Summit of SADC of Heads of State and Government.
The meeting was officially opened by His Royal Highness Prince Hlangusemphi who reminded the Senior Officials that “the priorities in the Revised RISDP 3015-2020 are very important hence we have to ensure that there is good progress by the end of the Plan period in 2020”.
Among the issues discussed included SADC Secretariat’s financial status, the Executive Secretary’s progress report and, revised SADC Corporate Communications and Promotional Strategy.
Dr. Taufila Nyamadzabo, the Outgoing Chairperson of Standing Committee of Senior Officials handed the reins to the Incoming Chairperson, Mr. Bertram Stewart, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development, Swaziland.
