His Excellency Mr. Djamel Saidani, the Charge d' affaires of the Embassy of the Peoples' Republic of Algeria to Botswana paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Dr. Stergomena Lawrence Tax on 15th November 2016.
The two parties discussed a number of areas of collaboration, in particular those aligned to the African Agenda 2063, "A global strategy to optimize use of Africa's resources for the benefits of all Africans" which are of interest to both Algeria and SADC Member States. In particular, in identifying ways to strategically exploit all possible opportunities available in the short, medium and long term, so as to ensure positive socioeconomic transformation in Africa within the next 50 years.
The two parties agreed to work together on interventions and strategies aimed at advancing the African Agenda and transforming the lives of people and ensuring lasting peace, security and freedom.
