The Secretariat of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) extends its deepest condolences to the Government of the Republic of Malawi, the SIMFUKWE family, the Malawi Police Service and the people of the Republic of Malawi on the passing on ofRetired Police Commissioner Dr.Chilika SIMFUKWE who died on 29 August 2018 after a short illness at Mzuzu Central Hospital.
Dr. Simfukwe played an instrumental role in furthering the SADC agenda on fighting cross border in the region during his tenure of office as Head of INTERPOL Regional Bureau for Southern African (RB Harare)/SARPCCO Coordinator from September 2009 to September 2015. He represents a generation of courageous and fearless leaders in policing. He was a leader worth emulating.
Dr Simfukwe will forever be remembered by all for his exceptional service in the region. The SADC Region is proud to have shared experiences with such a great son of the soil.
May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
