SADC Extra-Ordinary Human Resources and Administration Committee meet in Pretoria, South Africa

21 March 2018: The Extra-Ordinary Human Resources and Administration Committee (HRAC) for the Southern African Development Community (SADC) is meeting today, 21st March 2018 at the Southern Sun Hotel, in Pretoria, South Africa.

The HRAC is part of the series of meetings ahead of the SADC Council of Ministers Meeting which is scheduled to take place on 26 – 27 March 2018, at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), O R Tambo Building, in Pretoria, South Africa.

The Extra-ordinary HRAC will review and clear documents on Human Resources issues to be submitted to the SADC Council of Ministers for approval. The HRAC is a technical advisory committee comprising of SADC Member States that meet to review documents on Human Relations related issues for submission to the SADC Council of Ministers.

The Council of Ministers consists of Ministers from each Member State of SADC, usually from the Ministries responsible for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Economic Planning, or Finance who meet twice in a year tooversee the functioning and development of SADC, and ensures that policies are properly implemented.

The current HRAC include the following SADC Member States; Botswana as Chair, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, and Mauritius.
