Swaziland High Commissioner Courtesy Call on SADC Executive Secretary

SADC Executive Secretary Dr. Tomaz Augusto Salomão received the High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Swaziland to Botswana, H.E. Mr. Solomon M. Dlamini on May 22, 2013 at SADC Headquarters.

The purpose of his visit was to inform Dr. Salomão that he has now submitted his credentials to the President of the Republic of Botswana and consequently had come to present himself officially as he is also accredited to SADC.H.E. Dlamini informed the Executive Secretary that the Kingdom of Swaziland will hold its parliamentary elections in September 2013. He further requested Dr Salomão for an overview of the general situation in SADC Region.

On his part, Dr. Salomão briefed the High Commissioner on the general situation in the SADC Region, including on the Presidential Elections to be held in Madagascar in July 2013. He indicated that SADC Summit will be convened soon to deal with all the problems that the Region is facing for the moment.
